The Episcopal Church Lectionary Calendar

The Lectionary for Sundays is arranged in a three-year cycle, (Years A, B,  C) in which Year A always begins on the First Sunday of Advent in years evenly divisible by three.  For example, the year 1977 can be evenly divided by three (1977/3=659) Therefore Year A begins on Advent Sunday of that year.  For the year 2007 we are in Year C and 2008  we'll start over again with year A.  Below is a table that I've put together to assist Lectors by informing them of the Psalm, Old Testament and Gospel readings for the church service you may may be scheduled to read or have an interest in.  The scripture quotations are from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.  Some Sundays may have more than one reading.  When in doubt please check with Fr. Robinson  I've included a list of dates to remember with a link to their origins and historical background/significance.
