Closing Instructions
1. Make sure the front door on Main St is locked
2. Check the thermostat on the wall above the table where
the elements are placed prior to the service and verify
it's set at the right temperature. There's
a note that says what the temperature should be 62.
3. Make sure all of the overhead and side wall lights in the
church are off.
4. If the altar guild is done with their chores, verify that the
door to the sacristy is locked.
5. In the lounge (library) there is also an exterior door.
It too should be locked.
6. There is also a thermostat in the lounge by the bookcase and
sacristy door. It should be reset to 62.
7. Next, check the downstairs and make sure the door to the
nursery is locked and there's no running water in the
bathrooms, sinks, toilets and the sink in the
Christian Ed room.
8. Make sure all lights are off, windows closed and locked
and the door to the outside is locked.
9. The thermostat on the right side wall should be reset to
62.
10. The thermostat in the parish hall is not on a timer and should
also be reset to 62.
11. Make sure all windows are closed and lights are off in in the
parish hall.
12. Faucets in the kitchen should be off, windows closed, lights
turned off and coffee pots off in kitchen.
13. Verify back door to the kitchen is locked.
14. Rector's office and secretary's office should both be locked.
15. Lock the side door on Cleveland St. when you leave.
16. Make sure that all windows downstairs are closed and locked.
